Introduction to Axiom Discs

Axiom Discs was launched in 2014 as a sister brand to MVP Disc Sports with a clear purpose: to combine the well-known GYRO technology with a more colorful and visually striking identity. While MVP has traditionally maintained a more technical and uniform style, Axiom was created to deliver the same performance – but with greater freedom in color and design.

Axiom discs are produced with the same precision and quality control as MVP, but stand out with their signature colored overmolds and eye-catching stamps. The result is high consistency, reliable flight characteristics, and a unique look on the course.

Sponsored Players and Signature Discs

Axiom is part of the MVP Network, and the player team is shared across the MVP family of brands. This means that some of the biggest names in the sport throw both MVP and Axiom discs.

One of the most iconic moments in disc golf history came when James Conrad won the World Championship with his famous “Holy Shot” – thrown with an Axiom Envy. That moment cemented Axiom’s place on the biggest stage in the sport.

Simon Lizotte also has several Axiom signature discs and has played a key role in developing and popularizing models within the lineup. The combination of elite performance and technical innovation continues to shape Axiom’s range.

Axiom Plastic Types

Axiom uses the same proven plastic blends as MVP. The most widely used are Electron and Neutron. Electron is a baseline plastic designed to provide excellent grip, making it especially well suited for putters and control-focused discs. Neutron is a durable premium plastic that offers high longevity and consistent flight over time.

Other options include Proton, a transparent and highly durable premium plastic, and Plasma, which combines durability with a metallic sheen. The glow plastic Eclipse is known for its strong brightness and is popular for both tournament play and night rounds. Several plastics are also available in Cosmic versions featuring swirl effects, and selected models are offered in Fission, which incorporates microbubbles to reduce weight without sacrificing stability.

Axiom has built a lineup of models that are popular among players of all skill levels. Some of the most popular include:

Axiom Neutron Hex, a versatile midrange with neutral to slightly stable flight and excellent glide. It is known for its control and ability to hold the line it is thrown on, and is today one of the best-selling midranges in Axiom’s lineup.

Axiom Electron Pixel, a modern putter that is part of the Simon Line and designed in collaboration with Simon Lizotte. It features a clean release and stable flight, making it suitable for both putting and controlled tee shots.

Axiom Neutron Crave, a fairway driver with outstanding glide and precise control. It blends distance with stability and works well for players of all levels, which is a key reason for its popularity.

Part of the MVP Network

Axiom is part of the MVP Network alongside MVP Disc Sports and Streamline Discs. The brands are produced in the same facilities and share both overmold technology and plastic blends. Axiom is also included in the visual refresh known as Project Lab Coat in 2026 together with MVP, which introduces updated stamps across many models.

MVP and Axiom use the distinctive GYRO construction featuring a two-piece design with a heavier outer rim to enhance stability and spin. Streamline discs, on the other hand, are molded in a single piece of plastic without an overmold.
